There is a possibility that you will get back your .ssb files.
You need to download Recover My Files, version 3.73, from
www.recovermyfiles.com. If the deleted files were on your C: drive then there is a small risk that installing software on your computer will overwrite and destroy information that you want to get back. However, you have already installed an entire operating system (about 300mb) so you may conlude that another 6mb or Recover My Files is a small risk.
You can run Recover My Files directly from CD. Download and install the program on another computer, and then copy the contents of the C:\program files\Recover My Files folder to a CD. Then run the recovermyfiles.exe file on the CD.
You need to run a "Complete Format Recover" of the new drive letter. In the file type selection list, do not add any more file types, just use the default selection. Let the search run all the way, and at the end it will rebuild your old partition. In the results screen you can search in Folder View for your .ssb files.
You will get back everything that was not overwritten by the new installation (or subsequent writing to the hard disk). It is not possible to tell what has been overwritten until you run the search.
