I am trying to recover 40GB of data from a 200GB drive that was reformatted. It started in a 98SE machine and is now in a 2kPro machine. After 30+ hrs. of scanning I get about 1900+ files and 6000+ OS. This is the furthest I have made it; usually it crashes the system between 6 and 10 hrs. of scanning. It sees what I need, I just can't seem to make it more that 25% through the sector level scan. What am I doing wrong?
