I am not exactly sure of the cause of this problem. It is possible, but unlikely, that you have many thousands of files on your drive?
Please make sure you are using the latest version of Recover My Files, currently v3.84, available from
www.recovermyfiles.com.
When you run a "Complete Format Recover", just search for .bmp and .avi files (un-tick all the other file types). This should help.
