Default format recovery

Hi,

I have deleted your other threads and will answer your questions here.

If you formatted the wrong drive, and then installed Windows, you should still be albe to recover much of your data. The only that that is permanently erased is that which has been overwritten by the new installation of windows (ie. data that was on the first part of the disk).

The best search in this situation is a "Complete Format Recover". In the drive selection window, but a tick in the box next to the drive letter (eg. if you have formatted and reinstalled windows on the C: drive, then you need to search the C: drive). In the file selection window, search only for the default selected file types. Do not add any more file types into the search as they are not needed and you will slow the search down.

At the end of a "Complete Format Recover", Recover My Files will rebuild the old file system and display it in the results screen (including all files, not just the default selected). Click on the files in the results screen to preview their content.
