It sounds like your drive is on the way out. From your d********** it may last longer if it does not get hot. I would try pointing a fan directly at the drive and it may stay connected for longer.

In the current version of Recover My Files, 3.94, it is not possible to save the search results and then load the search results in next time you run the program. This feature will be inclued in version 4 (due out later this year).

At the moment, saving to CSV is just a listing of the search results. We included this because many investigators use this program and they needed a search results listing for court purposes.

You may like to try clicking on the OPTIONS button and in the ADVANCED tab put a tick in the box for "prompt for start cluster". That way you can select to run the search on segments of the drive.
