Unable to Update

I wonder if anyone has the same problem that I am experiencing.
I bought RMF v.3.22 from a store 2 weeks ago, only to find out that there is a v.3.94 on the internet. I clicked the update button on the program, it tells me that there is "No new version available."
Knowing that it was a mistake, I email the support staff, and was told to install the v.3.94 trial version over my v.3.22, and it will update it.
Unfortunately it didn't, and I now have a trial version of v.3.94 installed on my computer instead of a full version. I tried to activate the product using the activation key I receiver with the v.3.22 I bought from store, but the activation screen is asking me for a "Name," which I do not know what it is. I tried just about everthing in the "Name" box, but nothing worked.
Can any one help?
