Recover My Files should be able to get your data back. I presume you used the Windows Recovery disk and it has deleted your files?

I would have suggested that you run Recover My Files and first try a "Complete Format Recover". Search the drive letter and only search for the default selected file types (dont add any file types to the search). At the end of this search the program will rebuild the entire old file system and display it to you in Folder View of the results screen. Click on the files found to preview them, and if you like what you see, purchase an actviation key to save your files.

There are two ways Recover My Files finds files. The first is using the old Operating System records. Each file on a PC has a Master File Record in a table at the start of the disk which tells the computer where to find the file on the disk. When u find a file this way, it has the full file name and a Recovery Rating.

The second way that Recover My Files finds files is by finding their unique header and footer. In this instance the file the file and folder name is not recovered (because this information is held only in the MFT record).
