Last week my computer at work crashed. Before I had a chance to look it over, my sister called Dell and they had her reformat the hard drive and reinstall windows. Well the last 5 years of work files were gone and I don't look forward to the long hours of putting all that data back into the computer..I know, I should have backed up my work but I never did.
I've run recover my files and it looks like alot of my files can be saved but sometimes it takes me a while to figure things out.
My question is, I understand that I need to save my files to another drive, then when that is completed, copy them over to my harddrive? Am I correct so far? Will these files go back to where they were? I'm not sure what to do or where to put them when I copy them...am I making any sense
Could someone explain to me exactly what to do once the recovery is finished? TIA
