Default Data Recovery

"No preview" does not meand they are corrupted. Did you try to preview them during the search or after the search was complete? What happens when you save the files? Can you open them?

The files under the "Lost Files" folder were found using a search for their header and footer. The have the name "Recovered...." because the file name is not actually stored with the file content, but in another part of the disk know as the MFT table. The purpose of finding the "lost files" is to help the program locate MFT records for all files on the disk.

Once the MFT records are found they are used to rebuild the old file and folder structure and display it in folder view of the results screen. This enables you to recover all files with full file and folder names.

The "lost files" found will duplicated in Folder View, but in Folder View they will have their original names.
