Hi
Long story short... ran a defrag on my FAT32 300GB ext HDD, which stuffed it up and made me

. Found RMF on the web and ran a Full Format Recover on the physical disk that went from Saturday night to the following Sunday morning 7 days later

which gave me plenty of time to read the forums.... I now know I picked 3 extra file types that most likely slowed it down.
Decided to can the search and do a Full File Search, because I was missing all of my mp3 ID tags and file structure, which eventually turned up zip.
Ran another Full Format Recover but only with the default file types and it took a much more bearable 36hours
Anyway I'm looking at the Folder View and have heaps of folders all with red crosses and names ranging from DIR00143109 to DIR99228614, which from a very rough guess there has got to be about a thousand as they are not sequential.
Question is... the enitre contents of the recovery total 600GB+, I've purchased another 400GB ext HDD to copy the files to, but is there an easier way or do I have to sift through every DIR folder and check each file I want to recover? Only a few of the folders are expandable and contain some of the original folder structure, I noticed some files have many duplicates can I safely assume they are identical in every way?
PS... Is there anyway to get the mp3s tags back and the file structure?? I had almost 10,000 songs and all pedantically organised into folders sorted by artist and albums. Lets just say I spent many long, lonely nights ripping, tagging and filing each one properly.
