Default Data Recovery

If you have a problem whilst defraging your PC it can often be serious as the defrag process is doing some serious work on your file system.

It sounds like you have run the best type of search. In your situation I would have run a "Complete Format Recover" of the "physical drive" for the default selected file types ONLY. For a 300 gb drive it is going to take about 30 hours depending on the speed of your PC and how much data is on the drive.

However - it was probably worth first having a crack a the "Fast Format Recover" just in case it worked (but I suspect i might not) as this may have recovered your entire drive with full file and folder structure in less than 2 hours.

Folders with the RED X on them can mean one of two things: 1. it is previously deleted folder and the name can no longer be recovered 2. It is a folder which has not been deleted but the folder name cannot be recovered.

It may help to select the relevant files by using the FILTER button - play with this and give it a go.

Also note that you can select groups of files by holding the SHIFT key down (or CTRL key), hilighting them with your mouse, and pressing the space bar to turn them on and off.

We are currently working on an update wich will rename songs using the tags when they are saved, however it is not quite ready yet. You may want to check out 123renamer.com to see if that will help you.
