Try downloading Recover My Files from
www.recovermyfiles.com. Connect your memory stick to your PC, run the program and select "Complete File Search". Click next, in the drive selection window, do you see the memory stick listed as a "physical drive"- if so, search it for specific file types and in the search results screen see if you can preview the files.
