Download Recover My Files from
www.recovermyfiles.com and run a "Complete File Search". In the drive selection window, select and search the "physical drive". You should be able to identify it by the listed size.
This search will find your photos (if they have not been overwritten by the more recent activity). Search for the specific file types.
