The main thing with data recovery is that you should avoid writing data to the problem disk as you do not want to overwrite and destroy deleted or lost files.

Recover My Files is designed so that is does not change the content of the drive being searched in any way.

You can safely run Recover My Files in evaluation mode and view the contents of your search results. If you see the files that you are looking for, you can then activate the software and save the files to another drive.

If the Fast Format Recover does not work for you, the next thing to try is the Complete Format Recover. It is a longer search, but works in a wider variety of data recovery situations.
