Put your ipod into disk mode. Apple instructions are located here:
Putting iPod into Disk Mode
Then download Recover My Files from
Data Recovery Software to Undelete Files; Disk recovery; Recover Deleted Files. Run a "Complete File Search" on the iPod drive letter for the .wav file type. You should be able to find them this way.
