As always it is a long story.
The disk is a Samsung 500 GB Sata. From the beginning I had problem with the diskor DVD or motherboard I couldn't clarify which cause problems such the system is totally slow down until it became totally unusable. Then in the eventlog appear a lot of Controller error on device Ide/0 or something like this.
If these problems occurred I used to unplug and plug SATA cables to another slot and restore the system from ghost image. It could resolve the problem until now.
Disk has been partitioned to a primary (c,system, Windows Vista x64) and a logical (E) partition for data. The system partition has been backed up with Norton Ghost 12 (unfortunately) to the same physical drive (E).
Last time when this problem occurred I was unable to restore ghost image.
Ghost said Invalid image file. I tried to do a lot of silly actions , I don,t remember exactly (e.g. reinstall windows, set partition active). Finally I have lost my data partition too. About 450 GB data (images, movies, etc, and the v2i ghost image of the c: partition.
Now I rerunning the search process and I am going to try the Folder View instead of File type view but I'm not sure that it will help.
