Default Recovering Pocketpc data

Hi all,

This is my first post here, congratulations to Getdata for this excellent piece of software!!

So, one month ago I had to do a hard reset on my pocketpc, that means, all data on it (8gb) should be lost.

I was willing to let it go, but as a last try, started to wonder if I could bring the data from the dead, since in the desktop world delete and format does not allways destroy data...

So I found another niece piece of software that would make the pocketpc behave like a usb storage card, that means it shows up on the desktop as a regular logical drive when I plug the device in using the usb card.

Uhhh... if it behaves like an usb storage card, I might be able to use a software like Recoverymyfiles... I thought...

So, I ran the complete file recovery, and, to my surprise, I could actually preview some *.jpeg and *.pdf files that were supposed to not exist anymore!!

Great!... I thought... so all it would take know, to recovery my <precious> other files, would be to run <complete format recovery> and wait for the software to find all the information hidden on the storage card... right?

Well... almost.

It found everything... filenames are correct, filesizes also.. so I saved it all back to my desktop, and when I tried to open it, <<nothing>> opens!! All the files seem to be corrupted...

But WAIT! If in the complete file search, it was able to recover several files.... why in the complete format recovery it can not rescue anything, or rather, everything that is rescued can not be read.... Should be something really OBVIOUS...

So, ANYONE... any ideas on how to make complete format recovery work in this case... or how to get an ADITIONAL FILE FORMAT for complete file recovery, what I really want the MOST is my phatware s phatpad files , extension *.pmi.
