Default Data Recovery

Hi,

It is hard to know if your problem is now at a physical level (i.e. if the drive is physically damaged), or if it is at a logical level (the file system has become corrupt).

Does the drive sound ok? - does it sound like it is spinning normally? Any stange noises? What does the light on the front of the drive do?

When you connect the drive, if you got to MY COMPUTER > MANAGE > DISK MANAGMENT can you see the physical drive connected to your PC? If so, you should be able to use data recovery software to get it back. Follow the first sticky post of this forum to give Recover My Files a try.
