Hi there, used the software to recover from a full format and retreived almost everything, it took 28 hours
but hey, got it all back. Now I have a problem with MP3 files, this is my folder structure: K:/MP3/music1.mp3 >> all files are playing here K:/MP3/artist1/music1.mp3 >> all files are NOT playing in any subfolder of K:/MP3!! What happened to those files? If I look at the file sizes, it seems okay, but they simpley won't play. Used Winamp and Windows Media Player, both won't play any MP3's in subfolders... Any ideas? |

Hi,
Do you remember the original location of music1.mp3? What could happen is that the program finds 2 (or more) file entries for music1.mp3, but they point to different locations on the drive, but only 1 is the "actual" file and the others are old or orphaned entries. The filesizes show up correctly since that information is located in the entry itself - but in your case it now points off to a disk location that now no longer holds the data. Hope that helps. |

I recently got attacked by an unknown virus. I have recovered everythign I can but when I wnt to play my mp3's only about 1% of them are working. The rest won't play in winamp. If I try windows media it says the extension does not match the file format. All of these worked before. Explorer still shows the proper file size and information. Anybody have any ideas I don't want to lose all of this?
