Question long long time

I am trying to recover word files, excel files, 14,000 photo files, and 8,000 Mp3 files, from an external hard drive that has an I/O error. In the preview most of the files are recoverable and viewable but it takes a very long time 5 days. My external hard drive is 80 GB. If I complete the download of the recovery program from your site am I going to eventually need the CD?

Default Data Recovery

The search should not take 5 days. In fact is suspect that if you run a "Fast Format Recover" of the physical drive then all you files should be recovered with full file and folder names in less than 20 minutes.

If for some reason the Fast Format Recover did not work, then you need to run a "Complete Format Recover" of the physical drive for the default selected file types ONLY (dont add multimediat file types to the search - especially music and video as it will slow the search down). I would expect this search to run for less than 10 hours.

Also, make sure your drive is connected by USB 2 - if it is USB 1 then it will increase the time by a lot.

If you have already run the program then just purchase an activation key from www.recovermyfiles.com, enter it into the program and save your files. You do not need to run the search again.

The CD is only a backup copy. Some people like to have the software that they have purchased on a physical CD. You dont have to buy one if you dont want to.
