Default Is recovery possible after reformatting?

I am desperate here. Is it possible to recover pictures with the RMF program after my hard drive was reformatted? The COMPUSA guy says "no way." It sounds like it might be possible, but what are the chances?

Default Data Recovery

The CompUSA guy is wrong. Your files can most positively be recovered after a format.

The only data that will be lost is if you have reinstalled programs onto the drive after the format - eg. a new installation of Windows will overwrite the first part of the disk, but the remaining data on the disk can still be recovered (this is no big deal as most of your user created files will not be located on the first part of the disk anyway).

I suggest you download Recover My Files from www.recovermyfiles.com or using this link: http://download.getdata.com/RecoverMyFiles-Setup.exe.

I would suggest that you run a "Complete Format Recover" search. In the drive selection window, select and search the drive letter, but if you no longer have one, search the "physical drive". In the file types selection window, search only for the default selected file types (dont add file types to the search or you will just slow it down).

At the end of this search the program will rebuild and display the formatted file system in the Recover My Files results window. Look in Folder View for your files. Click on them to preview their content - you will be able to see the pictures and read the documents. If you like what you see then you can purchase a product activation key to save your files. You must save them to another drive, which can be another drive letter, CD, DVD, Network drive, removable drive, USB etc.

Good luck!
