What type of search are you running?

If you are running either a "Fast" or a "Complete" File search then you can note where the search is up to (i.e. the numbers in the progress window xxxx of xxxx), stop the search, save files, and then start the search from the same location (you need to click on the OPTIONS button and put a tick in the box for "prompt for start cluster...").

If you are running a Format Recover option, then I suggest you leave the search run until the end before you save files.

The only way to start in the exact place that you stopped is to write down where the search is up to BEFORE you stop the search.

However, if you remember how far the progress bar was across the screen then you can make an educated guess. For example, if it was half way, then when prompted for the starting point, divide the total size of the drive by two and enter that number.
