I have recently been hit by a virus / trojan which i could not get rid of and as a result i decided that i would re install windows 2000.
Unfortuntately in my haste to reinstall windows i backed up most of my files but missed a very important .PST file which was an archive of my email. I have just purchased the software and i am impressed so far as i have done a full format recover and managed to recover .PST files that i thought were gone but have not been able to recover the one that i need. I had a singular partition which was deleted and reformatted and then had windows resintalled. Is there any chance that i might be able to get the files back? Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. |

The problem you face is that if the PST file was stored in the first part of the drive, when you reinstalled Winodws you may have overwritten and destroyed it.
If you have already tried the Complete Format Recover, the next thing I suggest you try is a "Complete File Search" just for the .pst file type.
