Default Hi, question for a newbie...

Seems like a great program.
Trying to recover what was a quick format up to 70% on a 20gb hd.
Looking for the internet explorer bookmarks, which would be bookmarks.htm.
When I organize what's been found so far by size, when i click the largest htm found, nothing in the view window appears. The ones beneath it show things in the view window.
The top ones seems like it may be the bookmark.htm that I'm looking for.
I'm just about half way done, maybe I'm getting a little impatient. lol
Just curious though, why a big htm file can't be viewed?
Thanks.

Hi,

To Recover Bookmarks, or Internet Favourites as they are also called, run a "Complete File Search" of the drive for the "Internet Favourites (.url)" file types (it is listed under the Email Seciont - Im not sure why we put it there !?!?!?!).

Got it, but they're all individual!!!
Is there a quick way to turn them all into one big giant bookmark?
Btw, great product, will definitely be trying to sell this thing to people I know.

Save the files found and put them in your Internet Favourites folder which is in Documents and Settings under your login profile. Then they should work.

Yep, did that, although the bookmarks are just labelled as recovered internet favorite. But I'll just right click them and do the properties and renaming thing. 300 though Thanks again...

See if www.123renamer.com helps to rename the files.
