Default Laptop Harddrive

How do I recover files from a crashed laptop drive? Do i need an adapter to attach to ide connector of a regular PC? Where can I find that?

Yes, the best thing to do is to plug the drive into a PC on the second IDE cable. You will need an adaptor to do this. You can purchase them at most computer shops. Type the following into Google: "laptop to ide adaptor" and you will be able to see what they look like.

Be carefull how you connect it. Do not under any circumstances cover the two pins at the end of the laptop drive. They are the "power" pins and you can fry the drive if you connect it wrongly.
