how to use fast format recovery

I used the HP PC recovery tool and lost my system settings and files. I did a fast format recovery and saved it to my media drive. I not only need my files but I would like to go back to the previous system state? How do I accomplish this with this software.

Hi,

Recover My Files is a data recovery tool - not a system repair tool.

You can find system repair tools on the net, but the best option is usually to reformat the drive and start again. Once you have done this you can copy your recovered user files back to the drive.
