For some reason I lost some data from my thumb drive. I used this software to recover the data. I found the lost data (excel files) and I was able to preview it in the viewing window and the data was complete; however, when I tried to recover the data and save it on my hard disk the excel files were empty and their size was only 1KB! When I viewed the files the size was around 230KB but when I saved them the size was 1KB and the files were empty! Do you know what the problem might be? Please help.

The problem has been solved! It was doing like that because I was using an external drive to run the software. When I put the memory stick in my labtop, which has Recover my files software it worked great and it recovered all lost files from the memory stick. Thank you,

i have the same problem, i shift+deleted a folder containing image files on my hdd, i did a full search and the deleted pics appeared and the size was accurate too(abt 500kb)...but the recoverd files, which i stored on another drive, were only 1kb...please help

The software needs to be installed properly on an actual computer. In my case the software was installed on an external hard disk and it did not work, but when I installed the software on another computer the software worked great.
