Default Need to recover specific files (3GP and ARM)

Hi

After a search last 49 hours I've found the files (.3gp .amr) I was looking for. The Files were right, right name, right size... but I couldn't open them once saved.

- Are these files definitely lost ?
- Is the search method wrong ?
- How can I make a search on specific files type, like .3gp and .arm?

Tnx

Hi,

What are the programs that created these files?

.3gp and .amr are files recorded with mobile phones (Sony Ericsson and other).

.3gp it's a video file and .amr it's an audio file.

.3gp can be opened with QuickTime; .amr can't be directly opened, and needs a converter.

Sometimes RMF recovers 3gp as MOV files.

OK, thanks.

- First of all I've moved all the files from an hard disk (IDE) to another (SATA). Still I can find this files on the old hd but, once saved, they're unreadable.

- unfortunately I've deleted the new partition with these files (on the Sata hd) and installed Vista on the same partition (so I've used the new NTFS filesystem).

Now I'm under XP, installed into a new hd.

I've noticed that all the files I need to recover (unreadable once saved) have the same condition: have crossed references.

... files are there... but I can't open them

Should I make a deep search on both the phisical drives (200gb SATA + 250gb IDE = 450gb tot) in order to solve the crossed references problem ?
