Can RecoverMyFiles scan an .img file of my drive?
Before I heard about RecoverMyFiles, I had used a different program which said I/O errors on my drive, which it said indicates physical damage, which means I should just clone my hard drive, making a .img file. I'd rather use the .img file with RecoverMyFiles, if possible, rather than risk more physical damage to my drive. Thanks!! |

Hi,
What program is used to create the .img file? Is compression or encryption used? Thank you.

GetDataBack was used to make the image files.
I don't believe compression was used, as I think there was a separate function I could have chosen, which was to make compressed image files - but I didn't. I don't know if encryption was used, as I haven't seen any mention of it. |
