I have tried RecoverMyFiles and RecoverMyPhotos and I still can not come up with specific photos that I had deleted. I get photos from the end of 2006 and ones I just deleted on 4-1-07 but I need specific photos from the week of 3-19-07. How can I not recover these photos but other before and after photos show up?

Hi,
A few quick questions... What type of media were the files deleted from? How big is this media? How were they deleted? Thank you.

I used San Disk UltraII 512mb compact flash card. I place the card into the computer card reader. Open up the card and view the photos. I then make a new folder in the card and place all the photos in this folder and then move the folder onto a DVD. The DVD that the photos were on malfunctioned and I lost them off of the DVD. I had deleted the photos off of the card using the computer to delete the photos while the card was still plugged into the computer. No time did I place the photo folder onto the computer. I left it on the card until it was deleted. I then place the card back into my Canon EOS XTi camera and then ran a format.

It is difficult to say exactly what has happened on your disk. However, please try this:
1. Make sure you are running the latest version of Recover My Files. You can download it from www.recovermyfiles.com or if you already have it installed, click on the UPDATE button on the main program screen. 2. Run the program and click on "Manually Set Options" in the first wizard screen. In the ADVANCED tab put a tick in the box for "Allow searching of physical drives" and also chang the search level to "sector". Click OK. 3. In the drive selction window select and search the "phycial drive" that is the same size as you camera card. 4. In the file type selection list, put a tick in the box next to graphics to select all graphic file types. Run this search and click on the files found to preview the results. Follow this up with a "Complete Format Recover" of the "phycial drive" for the default select file types to see if you get any better/different results. If you dont find your files, then you can take an image of the card and send it to us so that we can double check. Please go to http://www.getdata.com/products.php and download and use EzyImager to write and image of the card to a file on your C: drive. Then compress the image with WinZip and let me know how big it is. Thanks.
