hello I downloaded a disk utility called DISK CHECKER from www.rssoftlab.com. When I ran the program it checked the file system and when it completed it said "FILE SYSTEM MODIFIED" . now my MP3 library is screwed up I went from about 1000 songs at 3-4 gigs down to 250 song. the wired thing is all the remaining songs have a file size of 32kb
is there any why to get my files back?? I am running the recover my files demo now, it is going on almost 5 hours and I have found 700 mp3 but the question is, is the program find the songs that are 32kb in size or am I going the get the whole song?? I don't want to drop allot of money and find out that I am screwed any ideas? thanks |

Hi,
You don't mention what type of search you are running? If it is a Complete Search then the file size (one of the column on the right hand panel) will show the recovered size (you can see these numbers even while the search is running). If you have done a Format Recover then the filesize shown at the end of the search (after it determines the partitions) will be what the operating system thought the size was - which in your case may or may not be the 32kB. The best bet is to look at the column number and see. Let us know how it goes. Brett |
