Default Data Recovery

Hi,

Did you use Recover My Files? (www.recovermyfiles.com) or Recover My iPod? (www.recovermyipod.com).

Let me know which one you have and I will tell you the best type of search to run to get your deleted music back.

Default Ipod Recovery

Here is what to try:

First, run Recover My Files and select "Fast Format Recover" and search the "physical" drive (you should be able to tell the physical ipod drive by its size).

At the end of the search (which may be very quick) look in "Folder View" of the results screen for your files - ipod file names are usually in a format like "KDHSU.mp3" - so if you have found these then they should be good and will have their full names once you save them and re-import them into iTunes.

---

If the above does not work, next try a "Complete Format Recover" of the physical drive and search only for the default selected file types (do not add music files to the search list - you do not need to in this case). Again, look in Folder View of the results screen for your files.

---

If you still don't have good results, download Recover My iPod from www.recovermyipod.com and run a "Deep Scan" to see what comes back. Contact support via the support link at www.recovermyipod.com and we will give you a free key to this product.

Thanks.

Both links work for me. Try typing the urls into your web browser to go to the Recover My iPod page: http://www.recovermyipod.com
