ok, i'm really desperate here, i just recently had to reformat my computer because it **** itself, it wouldn't let me use safe mode either so i couldnt save a thing, i had a whole bunch of extremely important pictures in my documents, i was wondering if it is possible to recover those photos without having to pay like $100 for a progam that only recovers **** thats already on my computer..i really need these photos so if anyone knows how to get them back i would really really really appreciate it

Don't write any data to the drive or you will risk overwriting and destroying the files.
I would suggest you plug the drive into another computer as the secondary drive - either a direct connection or via a usb case. Then run a program like Recover My Files (www.recovermyfiles.com). Run a Complete Format Recover of the physical drive and search only for the default selected file types. You can see the pictures found in the search results screen so you will know they are still there and can be recovered. They you can decide whether it is worth paying $70 to purchase a licese key and save the files.
