I have a 40GB hard drive in an external hard drive case. The drive letter is showing in 'my computer'.
When i try to do a fast format recovery, only the C drive is listed. I know I need to select "Allow searching of Physical Drives" in the advanced tab and then select physical drive. The problem is that the option to "Allow searching of Physical Drives" is not listed in my advanced tab. This is the only option missing. I have tried reinstalling the program but the same problem occurs. Has anyone else had this problem. Is there any way around it? |

It sounds like you are running an older version of Windows, probably Win 98 or ME. These operating systems do not have the ability to see physical hard drives.
If you run the program on 2000 or above you will see the physical drives when you run a Fast Format Recover.
