My O/S (XP) failure has been attributed to a corrupt file allocation table by a repair shop (NFTS). Upon boot, the motherboard screen is followed by a blank black screen with the letters YooY in the top left corner, likely some machine code. This happens before the O/S logs the hard drives. I have added a new clean HD with a new O/S and I can see and access all of my data and programs on the failed drive, and it all appears to be intact. However I am not familiar with the O/S files and I do not understand the extent of the corruption. Stellar Phoenix shows no problems with the drive. Can this program repair my corrupt file allocation table (I believe it is called Master File Table in NFTS)? Thanks

Recover My Files file recovery utility, not a hard drive repair utility. It can only be used to find deleted files or recover from a formatted or corrupt hard disk.
