Problem Opening Word Docs After Saving

I was able to recover over 1000 Word docs from my hard drive that was in RAW format after a power outage. I saved them to my current c: drive. However most of them I can't open with MS Word. I believe the error message says to check the path of the file. The preview field in the recovery program lets me see the document fine before it is saved. I haven't tried to open with Wordpad but I will try when I get back home. Any suggestions? Thanks

Please send some sample docs to graham*@*getdata.com (but take out the *'s). I will take a look inside the files and see if I can work out what is going on.

yeh i got the same problem. Some files open correctly, others i can't open with word.

I also see a perfect preview of the file, but when saved i can't open it. Will sent some files too today to have a check.

I've sent an email with more information GDH. Hope you **** can work something out :-) I couldn't open it with wordpad neither. With notepad it worked tho. But as you know, notepad doesn't gave me a good result to get some information back of it
