I have a 186 gb hard drive and I'm doing full format recovery. It's been running for 3 days and is only 1/3 the way done. It says its found over 2million files. Is this normal? Thanks

Hi,
Even the longest search with Recover My Files should not take more than 24 hours to run. I think the reason it is going so slow is that you may have selected all file types at the start of the search - this is not required, only use the default selected files, .doc, .xls, .ppt, .bmp, .jpeg, .avi, .pdf, .zip. What does "OS Items Found" say in the progress window? This is the important one, as each item represents a file with its full file and folder name. I suggest you click the STOP button and then let the program rebuild the file system. You should be able to see all your files in "Folder View" of the results screen, and then you can save them. Please let me know how it goes. Thank you.
