My hard drive started it's death sound of clicking. I tried to do a Windows repair to the drive but that failed. I then tried to install the OS on the D: drive but no go.
I ended getting another hard drive and made it the master the clicking one the slave. When I login I can see the non working C: on the clicking drive but the directories for Documents and Setting, Programs Files and the Windows OS are gone and replace with the every famous Found.000 folder with 10,000 recovered fragmented files. Can the software still work when the files are in this format? Thanx, Craig |

Run a search on the "physical drive" - this way you treat the drive as one big chunk of raw data and should be able to recover your data.
