Default Data Recovery

We have improved the Microsoft Word preview function so that even corrupt Microsoft Word files can be correctly previewed. This lets our users know that the data is there and can be recovered.

However, when the file is saved the file is still corrupt and may not be able to opened by Microsoft Word. The options are:

1. Instead of saving the files, use your mouse to copy the content of the document out of the Recover My Files preview window and paste it into a new Word document;

2. Try saving the files and if prompted to do so, use the Microsoft Word reapir utility;

3. If the files that are located and are not being saved properly are all 2048kb in size, try doing the following.

a). Run the program and click "Manually Select Opitons";
b). In the "Search" tab and take the tick out of "Try and determine file size of Lost Files" and set the file size to 1mb.

Now search and save the files. Try and open them to see if you get better results.
