Exclamation HD keeps disconnecting and reconnecting, data transfer impossible?

Hello HD data recovery community!
great to find a pleace like this! I'm new to this forum, and being new to this topic, you might wonder what I can contribute to the community? Well, never buy a Lacie HD. I bought one less that six months ago and accidentally pushed it off of my deks and it fell to the floor. It wasn't running, it was off of the power supply, and the fall was less that one meter (tree and a half feet?) but since then, the problems started... Further, Lacie Hard Drives are loud and the model I purchased doesn't have a power switch...

Since the fall, the data doesn't seem to be corrumpt and I didn't experience any dead sectors yet, I can see my data when it's connected to the PC and can even store new data on the HD as well as copy existing data from it to another harddrive. However the issue is that it keeps shutting down and starting up all the time, sometimes once in a minute, sometimes more. But the main problem is that it keeps disconnecting after it shut down, so any file transfer during the shut down of the HD will be unsuccesful since windows doesn't recognise that it's the same HD that it used to be before the disconnection.
So my question is: Is there a tool which enables to transfer the data from my Lacie HD to another HD which recognises that it's the same HD and thus is able to continue the transfer even after the HD disconnected and reconnected again?

Thank you for every reply!

Default Data Recovery

This drive sounds very untrustworthy and probably should now become a door stop.

I don't know of any software that will continue after the drive drops of line and comes back on.
