In order for the software to work the hard drive must be recognized by the os. And mine isn't. I can't get the mybook to be found. I've also used disk manager to try to get it to be recognized. any thoughts?
The problem isn't with the drive letter being recognized. right now there is only the 1 drive listed (c drive) and no other hard drive recognized. Last edited by matt; 09-11-2008 at 07:26 AM. |

I've tried it before with partial success. And this time I got it really cold. So far it's working. The idea is if you put the hard drive in the freezer everything tightens up...
The only problem you face is the possibility of frying it due to the moisture. But if you are like me, you can't spend the money and really need to get the data. anyway, it's not through getting the data off the drive, but so far so good. The os recognized the drive and I'm moving the data over now. |
