Default Spin Up Time error on my WD

hi all! i have a 500gb wd studio edition. it has fallen to the ground 4 days ago and it hasn't worked since yesterday. when i plug it in to my computer computer tells me to format it. and so we test our wd with WD diagnostics. first it gave the error "Spin Up Time" and in second test "too many bad sectors". i started recover my files and it has benn working for 40minutes. at first it founden some files but after 20 minutes it continues so slowly and it has founded 23083 o/s files but there is no increase of the number for "files found". search progress is like 6.300.000 of 976.000.000

so should i continue it or what? and i wonder if it is under warranty if i give it to service? and can service recover my files?

sorry about my english and thanks for your helps

Default Data Recovery

Hi,

Stop the search and see what files can be recovered.

I may be that the drive now has a physical problem and starts to malfunction when it gets hot. Use a fan to **** air directly onto and see if it helps get your data off.

hmm.. infact i didn't used my wd since yesterday. and i put it on today so if there was a fan problem it would work today at least a few minutes i think.

and i have searched only photo files. now it continues well. at least i will recover some of my photos.

thank u again...
