I did delete a notepad file. And then i recovered it and burned it to a cd. And when i try to open the file it comes up "searching after the file" But when i see the file in the program it stays there that this file type is lnk. It was a important thing i wrote in this file, and i need it soon as possible, so thanks for the help. Sorry for my bad english ![]() |

A LNK (Link) file is a short cut. This file does not contain the data, but is a Windows file that is used to point to the file which contains the data.

Hey
Thanks for the answer. I googled pretty much and found some answers like that. But that i dont understand is that why don't I get the "real" file? I used "Recover my Files" and that should find the file, right? I didn't have any short cut for that file. It was only i a notepad file. Or did the pc make short cut automatically? Or did "Recover my Files" make a short cut? I did save my file in c:\My doccuments\username and "Recover my Files" found that short cut there. But it should be the real file there? So can "Recover my Files" find the real file? Can i do something to get the real file? If i get only short cut i don't understand what the point about to undelete is ![]() |
