Default Can exported csv list of results be reloaded without need to rescan?

Hello...

I have recently scanned a 200GB drive and on completion I chose to export the results list to a CSV file as per the option "FILE-->EXPORT LIST TO CSV FILE". In total the file identifies 130GB of recoverable data based on MFT entries.

Due to hardware limitations on the machine I scanned from (USB 1.1) I am hoping to retrieve the files using a different machine.... but.... I would prefer not to have to rescan.

Given that I have the results of the scan in a CSV file is it possible to simply start the program and load the results and from there simply initiate the "SAVE" option rather than having to rescan the entire drive on the new machine to be used?

I know I can select to start scan from specified sectors but reloading the results would be the preferred option - can it be done?

Thanks
Jamie.

Default Data Recovery

Hi,

Unfortunately not. The CSV file is just a text list of recover files. It was added because we kept getting requests from lawers and police who wanted to document the files found.

In Recover My Files version 4, due out before the end of the year, we hope to include full pause, save, reload features.

It sounds like you recovered the files based on the MFT records. If you follow the instructions for the Format Recover on the first page of the forum, you should be able to run a new search in only a few hours.

Good luck.
