Hi
I have formatted the wrong hdd by mistake and then installed vista on it ( doh! ) I have started a search using Recover my Files. The search has been going for 12 hours now, and seems to have went through the ntfs search and is now searching for FAT tables. Since the hdd is 100% ntfs, I was wondering if I could just stop the fat tables search. would it still work or would it cancel the whole search? Since it has been going for 12hours I didnt want to just take the risk. Any help would be great. Thanks! |

Hi,
Yes, you can click the stop button and let the search results rebuild. If you happen to run the search again, before the search you can click on the OPTIONS > SEARCH button and set the "partition to search for" as NTFS only.
