Hello Everyone, this is my first post here. I hope that I am not too much of a nuisance!
I have an external WD USB drive, 500 GB formatted in fat 32. I decided to plug it into my macbook pro (that runs mac os x). I have been doing this for the last year, it usually works fine. However, today, it decided to have an error. Now before the error I had used up about.... say 470 gb with 30 gb remaining. I now have.... 430 gb remaining, hundreds of gigabytes of been deleted. So i have been googling around about data recovery, I download 'irecover' and plugged it into my vista machine and at the moment its running a scan, but Im not too sure what I am doing. Please can somebody assist me in getting my files back. Thankyou Steve |

Hi,
Does the drive still show up as a drive letter under windows? What exactly is the error message? I suggest you download Recover My Files here http://download.getdata.com/RecoverMyFiles-Setup.exe and run a Fast Format Recover search on the physical hard drive.
