Default Program aborting

I have run the software twice now on a corrupted HD. It seems to find many but just as it reaches the end of the drive 234000approx sectors the program aborts and kicks out with out allowing me to save the files. Any idea on how to stop this? I'll buy the software once I get to the point of recovery but not until I can recover.

HELP as I have many years of my photography on this backup drive that went south right after my main drive failed.

What type of search are you running?

You can stop the search before it gets to this problem point and save the files found so far.

How far down the disk is the problem spot? You can use OPTIONS > ADVANCED > PROMPT FOR START CLUSTER to start the search after this area of the drive.

I'm doing a complete format recovery.

I'm not sure as I look at some of the files they are corrupted early. While others are still good towards the end of the search.

The issue started when I replaced my main hard drive after it failed. When the OS was reloaded my backup drive was no longer readable and was corrupt. I tried it on four other systems as a USB drive withthe same results. In XP it shows the drive as a RAW drive and that it needs formated. I have not formated it or even deleted the logical drive. I have left it as it was.

I suggest you stop the search before the problem spot. You should be able to save files.

The best type of search is a Complete Format Recover - following the instructions in the first sticky post of this forum.
