Cant delete or move files after recovery

Hello,

I recently had a crash which corrupted my file system on my external hard drive. I could not access the drive and everytime I clicked on the drive it asked me if I wanted to format. So I used Testdisk and it was able to view my folders/files in the hard drive and it gave me an option to copy them to another hard drive. So I was very happy that this was happening. But then when I tried to move or delete any of the files or folders it gave me an access is denied error. The disk is not full and there are no other access to the file. I even rebooted but still did the same. I also rebooted to safemode but no success. Is this an ownership issue? How do I fix this?
