Default photos won't work after recovery

hello there,

I have a problem which I noticed few others suffering on the net. Havn't found a solution yet.

I bought a new computer w\o a new hard disk.
I've got 2 hdd and wanted to format only one of them (with the windows installed) for accidently formatted the wrong drive, my 250gb wd drive. It was a quick format and I restarted the computer at 20%.
well it didn't help, everything got 'deleted'.

anyway, I used full format recovery and it did find it ALL.
But, many files won't open. most of them are jpg(none opens, says no preview available and on some other program that the file is corrupted. some others are winrar files. most of them don't work, but some do(!).

please help!those are many important photos!
thx in advance!

ps, after I accidently formatted and recovered, I copied few photos from an old computer before connecting the hdd to the new computer. well after windows loaded the drive up (something like rescuing orphaned files) those photos didn't load as well! seems to me like the MFT I saw you talking about. but what should I do?? thank you again!

Default Data Recovery

Hi,

Using Recover My Files (Data Recovery Software to Undelete Files; Disk recovery; Recover Deleted Files) run a Complete File Search. In the drive selection window, search the physical hard drive and in the file type selection window, select the 3 jpeg file types.

This search will find JPEGS by their header and footer - they will not have their original names, but you should be able to preview them in the results screen.

thx for the fast reply. wow that really works! awesome!
But I made a huge mistake I afraid.
Before asking here I moved most of the photos to the second hard drive, so they're no longer in their original formated\recovered hdd. and the program can no longer find the header\footer.

I didn't think about this before moving

what should I do now?

thank you very much!

edit: also, is there an option to unite the found photos\mp3's from the search and from the format recovery? I've got lots of music and reorganizing each song without the names is gonna be real hard.
