Hey ****, i left my computer running for my entire day today while i was at work, which probably used up a lot of electricity. The search had found a tonne of OS files, and was only a quarter of the way through. The OS item counter had completely leveled off so i stopped the search and let it do its thing. It managed to reconstruct my entire drive.
So with great satisfaction i clicked "Save Files". This brought up a little window. I didn't want to commit to anything without seeing what "Save as" did. So i closed this little prompt and went to click save as. Nothing happened. So i assumed that option was unavailable. Satisfied i wasn't missing anything with that option, i re-clicked Save Files once again. Bugger, nothing happens. I click it again and again, but no dice. I now have 8 hours worth of a search, with my entire drive waiting to be recovered, but the stupid save function won't work! Looks like i'm going to have to close the damn thing and waste another day's power tomorrow. I'm curious why there isn't an option to export a template of the recovered files or something, so you can resume later. Or better yet, why the most important function of the program doesn't work properly from the get go. It just updated so it's the latest version. Is there any way i can salvage this search before i close it? Also, why is the word "g'u'y's" censored? |

Hi,
The 'Save' function will save all files selected in one go. The 'Save As' function will prompt you to enter a new file name for each file saved. It sounds to me like the 'Save' window may have got stuck behind the main program screen? Did you try moving the main program screen to see if you can find it?

Yes i was absolutely certain. I had to close it as it is obviously the following day now. Looks like a program bug.
Out of curiosity, If i start copying files over to my secondary HDD, then have to shut down my computer, will the program skip the already copied files next time i run it all? |
